WEST ORANGE, NJ — Got an old Christmas tree that needs disposal? Here’s how to do it in West Orange for the 2024 holiday season.
According to a municipal advisory, West Orange residents can place live Christmas trees at the curb for pickup by the Department of Public Works/recycling starting on Monday, Jan. 8. Residents can call 973-325-4067 or email publicworks@westorange.org and inform township workers that their tree has been placed at the curb.
Residents should place their tree at the curb in front of their homes, without a plastic bag. All decorations, tinsel and ornaments must be removed from the tree so that it can be recycled.

Any trees after February 1, 2024 will be picked up by the town's trash disposal company. West Orange residents can also bring Christmas trees to the Environmental Center at 590 Mt. Pleasant Avenue.
