UPDATE: NJ Amber Alert Canceled After Baby Found Safe
Authorities have canceled an AMBER Alert for an infant from East Orange after the baby was recovered.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for an infant from East Orange who was found safe.
According to the alert, which was sent to many residents’ phones on Monday afternoon, police were searching for Damion Payne, 27, and Chinna Payne, a female infant.
Payne, who was allegedly armed with a handgun, was driving a white 2016 Nissan Altima with Virgina license plate number VPF6043. They were last seen in East Orange, the alert stated.
