Influenza, Pneumonia Vaccinations Offered Thursday

Stop by the West Orange Health Department tomorrow between 9 a.m. and noon for your shots!

 

The West Orange Health Department will offer influenza and pneumonia vaccinations Thursday, Sept. 20, between 9 a.m. and noon at the John P. Renna House, at 10 Gaston St. 

Older residents and adults with chronic illnesses can be at risk for serious illness if flu or pneumonia is contracted. The seasonal influenza vaccine is recommended annually while the pneumonia vaccine is recommended once after the age of 65 or as prescribed by a physician.

Persons with Medicare as their primary insurance carrier will not be charged for vaccines. Persons with another insurance carrier as their primary insurance will have a fee of $25 for the influenza vaccine and $45 for pneumonia vaccine. 

The following are the dates and times that vaccinations will be given during the upcoming weeks. All vaccinations will be given at the John P. Renna House, at 10 Gaston St.

• Sept. 24-28 and Oct. 1-5, between 2 and 3:30 p.m. 

• Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, between 2 and 6:30 p.m.
