ITALIAN NIGHT AT WEST ORANGE HIGH SCHOOL -- Benvenuti al Sud (Welcome to the South)

The West Orange High School Italian Club will host the Annual Italian Night at West Orange High School on Friday, May 2nd 5:30PM – 9:00PM. The theme for 2014 is “Benvenuti al Sud” meaning “Welcome to the South”. Five different southern Italian regions will be presented: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardegna and Sicilia.   The students prepared an evening of culture and tradition from each region, including typical dances and songs.

The purpose of the event is to celebrate the Italian culture and to raise funds for senior scholarships. Three hundred guests from the community attend annually with proceeds donated to the Italian Scholarship Fund.  The Fund is used to award college scholarships to West Orange High School students who studied the Italian language and attained high academic achievement.  Italian night will be held in the Tarnoff Cafeteria at West Orange High School. Tickets are $20.00 per person and it includes dinner.
