AFJROTC Mountaineer Cadets Raise Money for GI Go Fund
Those who contributed wore jeans to work on May 22.
On May 22, 2014 AFJROTC cadets from West Orange High School organized a local effort of a national campaign, the Reserve Officers Training Corps program called The GI Go Fund. Across the nation five dollar ($5) donations were collected from employees of companies to benefit veterans in finding employment, attending college, to help facilitate benefits, and to link to housing assistance. Contributing employees of businesses across the nation were then permitted to wear jeans to work on May 22nd.
The West Orange High School AFJROTC cadets collected contributions from staff at West Orange High School. Those that contributed joined participants from around the country and wore their jeans to work on Thursday, May 22. West Orange High School AFJROTC Mountaineer Cadets raised four hundred dollars ($400), for the “Fund”.
