Jewish Community Housing Corporation Will Exhibit at Annual Essex County Senior Wellness Day
Mark Sinclair, Community Liaison Coordinator for the Jewish Community Housing Corporation of Metropolitan New Jersey (JCHC), will be available to answer questions about the JCHC’s housing options for seniors at the annual Senior Wellness Day event on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. The expo will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.at the Essex Country Richard J. Codey Arena at 560 Northfield Avenue in West Orange, N.J. There is no cost to attend.
Joining Sinclair will be Barbara Knopf, Marketing and Admissions Manager of the Lester Senior Housing Community, one of the JCHC’s communities, located in Whippany. The JCHC also owns and manages Village Apartments of the Jewish Federation and South Orange B’nai B’rith Jewish Federation House in South Orange, and Jewish Federation Plaza in West Orange.
Sinclair and Knopf will share information about the various housing options the JCHC offers at its senior living communities, particularly Village Apartments and the Lester Senior Housing Community. These communities offer market-rate rental apartments and many amenities for independent older adults; these include a wide range of cultural, social, and educational programs and outings, restaurant-style dining, and support services to help residents maintain an independent and active lifestyle. The Lester Senior Housing Community also offers assisted living options.

Senior Wellness Day draws several thousand seniors from throughout Essex County every year; in addition to information about support services for older adults, there will be free medical screenings, exercise demonstrations, music, and other entertainment.
