ABOUT MY SPECIAL GUEST SAMILLE GANGES
Samille is an Artist, unschooling Mother and Breathwork Facilitator living in community in New Orleans. Originally from Bordentown, NJ and longtime resident of Jersey City, NJ Samille and her partner Desmond plus child moved out of the Northeast escaping rising rent, gentrification and being called to Bulbancha (as the natives called it) the land of many tongues, currently New Orleans. Samille holds a degree in Musical Theatre and misses performing prior to the pandemic. She also is an educator and often teaches drama in New Orleans to children. She is an Advent Gardner and baby herbalist. Along with her partner they go by the online persona PlantainFutures, named after the weed with the same name. Their hope is to bring black and brown people back to the land and liberate themselves in the process. Storytelling and honest self-expression is always at the focus of any of Samille’s creative endeavors.
