Ms. Lynette Sheard is excited to welcome to her weekly virtual show entitled, Why the Show Must Go On (WTSMGO) a SPECIAL GUEST- Isabelle Nicholas is a 2021 graduate of the James Madison University Musical Theater Program. Despite her love for theater, her journey led her to the realm of mental health work. Now, Isabelle uses the skills she learned to craft her own initiative, Shout Our Struggle. Through Shout Our Struggle, she utilizes storytelling to illuminate mental health survivor voices like her own as a teaching tool for Mental Health Response and stigma reduction. Her podcast can be found on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. She also serves the state of New Jersey as Miss Shore Resort in the Miss America Organization and will be interviewing for the job of Miss New Jersey on June 22nd, 23rd and 25th. The Miss America Organization has allowed her to focus her passion, and she is excited to share her story and her voice (singing Mozart's "Deh Vieni Non Tardar") with the people of New Jersey in Atlantic City! Although her future includes a Master's and Doctorate in Psychology, Isabelle believes her story is why the show must go on.
