Magic Lives: TV’s ‘Masters of Illusion’ Coming To Essex County, NJ

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — It’s one thing to see a really cool magic trick on the Internet. It’s quite another to see someone levitate in real life.

There are some experiences that can only be truly appreciated in person. And that’s why the cast of “Masters of Illusion,” which bills itself as the largest magical touring show in the world, is bringing their patented brand of 21st century prestidigitation to Montclair’s Wellmont Theater at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6.

According to a news release, the CW television show’s live act includes “death-defying escapes, grand illusions, levitating women and dazzling dancers,” and combines the art of the master illusionist with the speed and modern design of the 21st century.

“Nothing beats the experience of seeing a magic show in person,” the Wellmont Theater’s show description states. “And it’s all live… No camera tricks, no computer graphics, just amazing illusions in real time in front of a live audience.”
