Mailman In West Orange Stabbed In Face On Delivery Route: Police

A 41-year-old West Orange woman faces assault and weapon charges after she allegedly stabbed a USPS mail carrier in the face.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A 41-year-old West Orange woman faces assault and weapon charges after she allegedly stabbed a United States Postal mail carrier in the face while the victim was delivering mail on Monday evening, authorities said.

According to a statement from West Orange town officials, the attack took place around 4: 30 p.m. on Hillside Avenue. The postal worker told police that a woman later identified as Medgyne Anglade, 41, attacked him following a “verbal altercation,” officials said.

Emergency responders transported the injured man to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, where he was treated and released, authorities said.

Police charged Anglade with aggravated assault and weapons possession. No additional information was immediately available.
