Man Dies After Struck By 3 Cars On Garden State Parkway

Police are probing what happened when a man walked into traffic, and then was killed when he was struck by three cars on the Garden State Parkway this weekend.

The man, who was not identified, was in the middle of the Parkway's northbound roadway at milepost 147.6 in East Orange when he was struck by a Volkswagen on Saturday, police said.

He was then struck by a Hyundai and a Ford, police said. He was pronounced dead shortly after the 11:30 p.m. incident.

The drivers of the three cars have been cooperating and remained on the scene until police and EMS arrived, police said.
