Martin Luther King Day Tribute In West Orange Will Return For 2024

An annual celebration of renowned civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will return in West Orange this year.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — An annual celebration of renowned civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will return in West Orange for 2024.

According to a municipal advisory, the 12th annual tribute to King will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15 at the Liberty Middle School auditorium, 1 Kelly Drive.

The event – sponsored by the West Orange Human Relations Commission – will include music, performances and light refreshments, as well as guest speaker William Michael Barbee.
