Our Walk, and the accompanying presentations we have planned are more important than ever! The struggles, emotional hardships and isolation of many people with mental health and substance use disorders have intensified due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our walk and activities are focused on providing education about behavioral health and resilience after the pandemic. As always one of our core goals is to reduce stigma associated with mental illness. This year we are also highlighting the valuable emotional support that dogs provide to individuals and families. Our partner Tri-State Canine Response has been deployed with their therapy animals to in just the past two weeks. They will be at our walk giving demonstrations.
