Monangi, McNeil Chosen to Play in Summer All-Star Game

Game set at Kean University's Cougar Stadium

Seton Hall Prep star fullback back Kevin Monangai and West Orange versatile receiver Josh McNeil have been chosen to play in this summer's annual North-South All-Star Football Classic at Kean University's Cougar Stadium.

Monangai, committed to playing at Villanova, ran for a school-record 2,266 yards on 195 carries last fall, posting 35 touchdowns. Seton Hall Prep finished the season at 101. He set a Essex County single-season record for touchdowns and his 69 for a career is also a county mark.

Seton Hall coach John Finnegan has said that Monangai was the best back he's ever coached.

McNeil, one of the leaders in the Mountaineers' 9-1 season last fall, signed a National Letter of Intent last month to play at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich.

McNeil caught 35 passes for 754 yards and seven touchdowns for the Mountaineers last season. He also carried the ball 11 times for 54 yards and two touchdowns. He was second on the team in tackles with 74. But it's offense where he'll be playing in college.
