Senior Duane Morgan scored 17 points and Darius Moore and Antonio Burnett added six apiece, but the West Orange High School boy’s basketball team fell to Shabazz 54-38 Tuesday afternoon.
The Mountaineers, who have one game remaining, fell to 8-15. Shabazz, which has won three straight, improved to 18-8.
Junior guard Anthony Closs scored 14 points and had four assists and Rakim Lesaine and Michael Reid sparked a strong defense with three steals apiece in Newark. Reid finished with nine points and seven assists. Lesaine, a also a junior, pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs.
