COLOR
What is New Jersey’s favorite color? That’s a question that gets a little tricky, depending on the situation. But if you’re taking a general look at things, the “most popular color” in the state is pink, according to a recent study from Pixlr.com.
The study analyzed Google searches for 22 different colors (excluding black and white) combined with 25 different color-related terms, such as items of clothing, décor and themes.
The five most-Googled colors in New Jersey were:
- Pink
- Red
- Blue

BRIDESMAID DRESSES
But if you’re asking what New Jersey’s favorite bridesmaid dress is, that’s a different matter, according to fashion experts at Boohoo.
Researchers analyzed Google Trends data to establish the most Googled bridesmaid dress color in each state. According to Boohoo, New Jersey is obsessed with lilac (a shade of purple), which was the sixth most-popular in America.
Nationwide, grey was the most popular color of bridesmaid dress in America, with 11 states searching for the color more than any other color of dress. Green bridesmaid dresses were the second most-popular color, being favored due to the wide variety of shades and tones, researchers reported.
CHRISTMAS PARTY DRESSES
And when it comes to a dress for a Christmas party, the color-popularity consensus in New Jersey diverges yet again, a study from fashion experts at Karen Millen say.
Researchers analyzed Google Trends data to establish the most-Googled Christmas party dress color in each state. New Jersey favored navy blue – a color only Missouri agreed with.
The analysis revealed that green Christmas party dresses had the highest number of states searching for it the most, with a total of 13 finding it the most popular.
“The festive period is filled with events where attendees want to show up and stand out, which is why it's so important for many people to find the perfect Christmas party dress, and it's not always as easy as it looks,” a spokesperson from Karen Millen said.
