New Website to Launch by End of the Month

Mayor: 'We're expecting to go live pretty soon'

West Orange is just a couple of clicks away from a brand new township website.

"We're expecting to go live pretty soon," Mayor Robert Parisi told Patch this week. "Definitely by the end of April."

The website will have a complete new look and improve communication channels with the residents.

, CivicPlus, a Kansas-based web design company, has been working to craft a user-friendly and functional website that will allow residents to make online bill payments and easily download municipal forms.

The company was awarded a $35,000 contract to redesign, host and maintain the site for the first year. Michael Matheis, Director of Information Technology in West Orange said maintenance and hosting fees would accrue to $4,833 each year thereafter.

In the past officials have said the current website is limiting, barring employees from making any changes or creating content without the approval of the current web provider.
