NJ Woman Finds Dream Job Helping Others With Hearing Loss: Report
An Orange resident is making a difference for other people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — An Orange resident is making a difference for other people who are deaf or have hearing loss, and has found her “dream job” in the process, a report says.
Nichelle Oglesby taught herself how to sign by watching YouTube videos when she was 23. Now, she’s using her own experience with hearing loss to help clients at Easterseals New Jersey’s Career Pathway Connections program enter the workforce and find sustainable employment, NJ.com reported.
“I just think that if more deaf people knew that they can do whatever they want, that would change how they think,” Oglesby stated. Read the full article.
