A day after a New Jersey Transit train derailed in Penn Station, train service for commuters is still affected.

NEW YORK, NY — A day after a New Jersey Transit train carrying 1,200 people derailed as it pulled into Penn Station, service on NJT and Amtrak into one of the city's major transportation arteries remained snarled.

On the New Jersey Transit, Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line trains were operating on a holiday schedule with some additional service, while Midtown Direct trains were still being diverted to Hoboken.
