Pokemon Go Craze Hits Hoboken Area: Find PokeStops, Gyms

Do you know where your local PokeStops are in Hudson County? Find out here.

Hoboken, NJ – Pokemon Go has arrived in New Jersey. Do you know where your local PokeStops are?

The infectious, smartphone-based game - which launched last week and has already made Nintendo more than $7 billion - challenges users to embark on a smartphone-based scavenger hunt and chase down virtual creatures known as Pokemon at real world locations.

In towns nationwide, developers have added “PokeStops” at destinations such as libraries, churches, public art installations, historical markers and monuments. An in-game item called a “Lure Module” attracts Pokemon to a PokeStop for 30 minutes, where the monsters become visible on their smartphones.
