Police Arrest Two for Armed Robbery at Heritage Restaurant

Police have arrested two men in connection with an on Valley Road in West Orange.

Three masked men entered the newly-opened restaurant the night of Feb. 19, telling everyone inside to "get on the floor," according to police. Brandishing handguns, the men took four cell phones, cash from the register and liquor from the bar, authorities said.

An investigation of the incident led to the arrests last Friday, Jessica Glicker, public information officer for the township, announced today.

Police arrested Abdul Shareef, 21, of Orange. He was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police also arrested Azmar Carter, 19, of Orange who was charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a handgun and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.

Both men are being held at the Essex County jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Authorities, though, say they are still looking for two suspects involved in the restaurant robbery and have warrants out for their arrests.

Tarie Spigner, 21, of Orange, described as a black man weighing 150 lbs and about 5' 8 tall with a tattoo that reads "Keiysa" on his right arm.

Kenneth Robinson, 22, described as a black man, 5' 8 tall and 150 lbs. Police say his last known address is in Harlem, NY.

Officials said Spigner and Robinson are wanted for armed robbery and various weapons charges related to the restaurant robbery.
