Pro Soccer Star Visits West Orange School, Tells Kids To Chase Dreams

Major League Soccer player Brendan McSorley met with students at an elementary school in West Orange with a message of encouragement.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Major League Soccer player Brendan McSorley recently visited with students at an elementary school in West Orange, taking time to speak with youth about his pro sports career – and life.

During his trip to Hazel Elementary School on Jan. 6, McSorley – who grew up in Randolph – talked about his soccer career with students, discussing the training, commitment and recruiting process. He talked about a healthy diet and lifestyle and emphasized the importance of education, also encouraging students to pursue their dreams.

McSorley played for Delbarton during high school and attended Providence College on a full scholarship. While in college, he also played with the New York Red Bulls, FC Motown, and St. Louis City. He currently plays with St. Louis City 2 franchise, a team affiliated with the MLS Next Pro Club.
