WEST ORANGE, NJ — A retiring school principal in West Orange got a big thank-you for her service to the community this week.
The West Orange Public School District shared a video of a “clap-out” ceremony for Ana Marti, which can be seen below.
In the video, a hallway full of eager children and teachers cheer and hold up signs congratulating a visibly emotional Marti.

“Congratulations and best wishes to Hazel Elementary Principal Ana Marti, who was honored with a school-wide clap out today to celebrate her retirement … Thank you for everything!” district administrators wrote, adding the hashtag #wopride.
