Road Work at Mt. Pleasant and Gregory avenues
Congestion is expected with construction.
If you are driving around West Orange today, it may be a good idea to take an alternate route around the intersection of Mt. Pleasant and Gregory avenues.
At about 2 p.m. today, May 30, crews were doing roadwork on Greagory Avenue at Mt. Pleasant Avenue intersection. Gregory Avenue was still open to traffic for drivers turning on Mt. Pleasant Avenue, and motorists could still turn onto Gregory Avenue from Mt. Pleasant Avenue.
West Orange police placed traffic cones on Gregory Avenue removing one of the two northbound turning lanes.

At that time, a queue of drivers would periodically build up on Gregory Avenue, which can be expected to increase now that school is out and rush hour is approaching.
It is not yet known at this time who is doing the construction or how long it will take. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
