Santa Coming To West Orange Schools; Tree Lighting Set For 2018

West Orange will hold its annual holiday open house, arts & crafts show and tree lighting event on Dec. 1.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Santa Claus is coming to West Orange for the 2018 holiday season… in November.

As part of the town’s annual Santa tour, he’ll be stopping at all West Orange elementary schools on Sunday, Nov. 25, in addition to his regular rounds. For more information call the West Orange Recreation Department at (973) 325-4150.

According to a municipal event post, Santa’s 2018 tour schedule will include the following stops (times are estimates).

  • Redwood School – 1:15 p.m.
  • Kelly School – 1:45 p.m.
  • Mt. Pleasant School – 2:15 p.m.
  • St. Cloud School – 2:45 p.m.
  • Gregory School – 3:15 p.m.
  • Hazel School – 3:45 p.m.
  • Washington School – 4:15 p.m.

“Santa will drive around town, but this year will be making these specific stops to ensure everyone gets a chance to see him,” West Orange officials wrote.

West Orange will also hold its annual holiday open house, arts and crafts show, and tree lighting event on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Main Street and Town Hall.
