School Career Day In West Orange Draws Enthusiastic Crowd Of Students, Parents

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Elementary students in West Orange recently got a chance to ponder what their future jobs might be at an annual school career day.

Students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School got a visit from 15 local parents last month, who spoke about their careers to the enthusiastic crowd of young learners.

School counselors Lisa Struncis and Jennifer Barta organized the 11th annual event, which “gets bigger and better every year,” administrators said.

• Laura Garcia - NJ National Guard
• Makayla Kondreck - Sign Language Interpreter
• Wakae Edwards - Flight Attendant
• Shereen Ahmed - Pharmacist
