School Closed In West Orange On Friday Due To Weather Forecast

WEST ORANGE, NJ -- The West Orange Public School District will be closed on Friday amid a poor winter weather forecast.

While West Orange wasn't among them as of Thursday evening, the local public school district is getting prepared for an ugly morning commute, officials say.

According to a message from the district:
"Due to the forecasted weather conditions that will be impacting the roadways beginning in the early morning hours, the West Orange Public Schools will be CLOSED Friday, January 19, 2024. All events district wide are canceled. We thank you and hope you remain safe."
