WEST ORANGE, NJ — Schools in the West Orange Public School District are keeping students fed during the coronavirus crisis with a secret weapon: an amazing assembly line of cafeteria workers.
While the district remains in “e-learning” mode due to the COVID-19 outbreak, West Orange schools and contractor Maschio’s Food Service began providing breakfast and lunch to children under 18 last week, opening a parking lot drive-thru at seven schools to help avoid large gatherings.
