The outing was an ideal way to ward off the winter chill, organizers said.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A group of older adults from West Orange recently got a chance to share some warm tea and companionship during a recent excursion to Summit.
According to a news release from the township:
“On a recent February afternoon, older adult residents of West Orange enjoyed a delightful Cream Tea at the quaint DeBary Inn in Summit, NJ, courtesy of West Orange Senior Transportation. The afternoon outing was run by West Orange Senior Services. The cozy gathering featured warm tea, delicious treats, and engaging companionship that was an ideal way to ward off the winter chill. Guests indulged in a menu of petite sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, delectable dessert bites, and unlimited tea. Hardly a waning thought was given to spring’s arrival as Host Richard Wright enriched the experience by sharing insights into local history.”
