Seton Hall Prep Lacrosse Loses Against St. Joseph

St. Joseph wins 14-6

Seton Hall Prep's lacrosse team hung around St. Joseph of Metuchen for most of the Non-Public Group A playoff game. But St. Joseph was able to limit the Pirates to one four-quarter goal and went on to win 14-6.  

Falcons' junior attack Ed Lubowicki scored three goals and four assists. Senior attack Ryan Loughlin had five goals and an assist and senior attack Mike Brandes scored three goals and three assists.  

St. Joseph led 5-3 at the half, and 9-5 after three quarters, but outscored the Pirates 5-1 in the fourth period.

Falcons' keeper Harry Burke made 14 saves.  

Seton Hall Prep was led by junior attackman Tim Mulrenan, who had two goals and an assist. Sophomore Jayson Bevacqua, junior Brent Croonquist and senior Mike Wamp had the other goals. Junior Ethan Bliss, senior Andrew Marone and junior Paul Werner had assists. Senior keeper Jack Fraser made six saves for the Pirates who finished the season with a 7-9 record.

St. Joseph, 14-7, will play Delbarton in the state semifinals.
