Here are some things that residents should know, according to a municipal advisory:
- No parking along curb lines on either side of the street during daytime construction hours
- Vehicles parked overnight in the construction area must be moved by 7 a.m. on all workdays, including Saturdays
- Vehicles in driveways may also need to be moved by 7 a.m. The contractor will notify you each morning if required.
- Overnight street parking is permitted; the overnight parking prohibition will be lifted
- The contractor will topsoil and seed any disturbed lawn areas — residents must water daily until grass is established
- Mark sprinkler heads before construction begins if you have a sprinkler system
- Notify the township if you have a heated driveway or an electric dog fence
According to a letter to homeowners from the township, the work will only be performed for properties for which owners signed a temporary construction easement agreement.

The township’s contractor will topsoil and seed any disturbed areas of residents’ front lawns, the letter adds.
“A sewer lateral cleanout provides an accessible point for inspection and maintenance of the line connecting your home to the sewer main located in the street,” the letter states. “Installing cleanouts help prevent future blockages, allow for easier servicing and can reduce the likelihood of backups.”
