Shooting Victim's Body Found On Essex County Hiking Trail: ECPO
The victim was found on a hiking trail at Eagle Rock Reservation on the West Orange and Montclair border, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ -- The body of a fatal shooting victim was found on a hiking trail in Essex County on Friday, authorities said.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of a still-unidentified male. The victim was found on a hiking trail at Eagle Rock Reservation on the West Orange and Montclair border, authorities said.
Several hikers discovered the body on Friday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:16 p.m., prosecutors said.
