The United States women's national soccer team is back where it was in 1999—the finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The U.S. team secured a spot in the finals Wednesday after defeating the French team 3-1 in a semi-final game.

The American team came into World Cup Germany ranked first in the world after winning an Olympic Gold Medal in 2008, as well as Algarve Cups in 2008 and 2010.
