Maintenance Closes South Side Walkway At South Mountain Recreation Complex

The southern side of the walkway around Orange Reservoir is closed for maintenance Sept. 19-23, the county said. The north side is open.

WEST ORANGE, NJ —Maintenance and pathway improvements around the Orange Reservoir in the Essex County South Mountain Reservation will restrict some foot traffic, the county said.

The southern side of the walkway will be closed from Sept. 19-23, according to the county.

"The north side of the path from the Clipper Pavilion to Turtle Back Zoo will be open. The south side that crosses the foot bridges will be closed," the county said. "We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience."

The South Mountain Reservation covers 2,110 acres and is part of the Essex County Park System.
