WEST ORANGE, NJ — Two people used a stolen car to carry out a “gas-and-go” theft at a West Orange gas station last week, authorities say.
According to an incident report from the West Orange Police Department, the theft took place around 9:20 p.m. on July 25 at a local BP gas station. The specific address was redacted in the report.
The attendant told officers that a 2018 BMW 540 arrived at the station with two adult men inside. The driver asked the worker to pump $45 of gas, and when the allotted amount was pumped, he sped away west on Northfield Avenue without paying.
