WEST ORANGE, NJ — Eagerly awaiting the reopening of the West Orange Public Library? For now, local residents can access some library services at a temporary location, officials announced.
The West Orange Public Library closed earlier this month to prepare for the move to its new location at 10 Rooney Circle. It is expected to reopen later this spring. Read More: West Orange Library Will Close, Move To New Location
Mayor Susan McCartney said that township officials – working in partnership with the library board of trustees – have arranged for a continuation of some key library services at a temporary space on the second floor of 80 Main Street (suite 230).

Last week, the town council approved a lease agreement with 80 Main business owner and longtime Downtown West Orange Alliance Board Member David Drill.
According to a statement from McCartney:

“Library services provided at 80 Main will include library staff, library resources, book drop-off and pick-up, and public access to 10 computer stations, along with ample off-street parking. This temporary operation will begin on Monday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.”
