Tonight: Township Council Will Discuss Edison Redevelopment
Meeting at 7 p.m. will take place at Edison School

The much-anticipated township council meeting to discuss the Edison redevelopment project on Main Street will take place tonight.
The council will vote on two ordinances and a resolution to approve the finances and infrastructure for Phase I of the project.
Phase I of the project calls for 333 luxury apartment units for-rent and 18,500 square feet of retail space in the Edison battery building. It will also include a 635-space parking garage and a Jitney service to both the Orange and South Orange New Jersey Transit train stations.
Should the resolution to approve be voted down, the project will not move forward.
Prism Capital Partners, LLC, will also be present at the meeting to answer questions from the public and the township council.
The meeting will take place at Thomas A. Edison Central Six School on 75 William Street at 7 p.m.
