Township's New Facebook Page Hopes to Attract Local Businesses, Residents

Marketing campaign aims to promote township through social media

West Orange has officially joined Facebook.

"We're trying to get people to sign up — both residents and businesses — so we can start a dialogue between the two," Sullivan said.

He said the Facebook page will both promote local businesses in town and serve as a community bulletin board for residents.

Whether you have a Facebook page or not, small businesses can sign up. The page will feature special deals for businesses, host contests and give away coupons.

Local residents will also be able to use the page as a forum for local happenings.

"It's a place for people to communicate, find out what news is going on," Sutherland said.
