Township's Holiday Decorating Contest Under Way

The West Orange Public Relations Commission is making sure the holidays shine a little brighter in the township this year.

As such, it's created a holiday decorating contest for residents to claim bragging rights. The goal? The brightest outdoor holiday decorations, wins.

To participate, snap a photo of your decorations and e-mail to woholidaydec@hotmail.com. Participants can check www.westorange.org daily to see if their home is featured.

Jonathon Ridley, co-chair of the township's public relations commission, said the top three, township-wide winners will be announced after the new year.

The winners will receive gift certificates to local restaurants. The contest runs through Dec. 31.
