Tuesday Traffic Delays On I-280; Crash, Truck Fire Reported

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Portions of I-280 saw severe traffic delays for the Tuesday morning rush hour, with authorities reporting a vehicle crash and a truck fire.

The delays were reported by 511.nj.org, which provided several updates throughout the morning:

• Crash on I-280 westbound East of Exit 8 - CR 577 (West Orange Twp) 2 Right lanes of 5 lanes closed
• Truck fire on I-280 westbound East of Exit 8 - CR 577 (West Orange Twp) 2 Right lanes of 5 lanes closed
• Delays on I-280 westbound West of Exit 10 - Northfield Ave/CR 508 (West Orange Twp) to East of Exit 8 - CR 577 (West Orange Twp) current travel time is 10-15 minutes
• Delays on I-280 eastbound between Exit 12 - Garden State Parkway (East Orange) and Exit 14E - King St (Newark) current travel time is 5-10 minutes
