Turtle Back Zoo Groundhog Predicts Super Bowl Winner
The Turtle Back Zoo's resident groundhog has made his predictions for winter/spring and the Super Bowl winner. Did Essex Ed see his shadow?
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Here’s the prediction from Essex Ed: an early spring and the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
On Groundhog Day 2018 – which took place Friday - Essex Ed, the resident groundhog at Essex County's Turtle Back Zoo, did not see his shadow, officials reported. The Groundhog Day legend states that if the groundhog does not see his shadow, warmer spring weather will arrive earlier.
In addition – as per county tradition - Essex Ed predicted the New England Patriots would defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in this year's Super Bowl.
