Poems and stories were written by Rita Hirsch, introduced, and contextualized by her daughter, Ann Hirsch. The poems and stories include observations from growing up in New York in the Depression, including a scarlet fever quarantine, and reflections on the unique experiences of living, aging, and raising a family as a woman in the second half of the 20th century.
