Watch West Orange Candidate Debate: Mayor, Council Election 2022
Candidates for mayor and town council in West Orange's upcoming nonpartisan municipal election faced off at a debate forum.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Candidates for mayor and town council in West Orange’s upcoming nonpartisan municipal election faced off at a debate forum held at the United Presbyterian Church of West Orange earlier this week.
The debate was hosted by the West Orange African Heritage Organization in collaboration with United Asian Voices of West Orange and the West Orange Hispanic Foundation.
West Orange voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for the general election. In addition to federal, state and county candidates, West Orange residents will be asked to cast ballots for mayor, town council and the local board of education.

There are four candidates seeking to take his place: Joe Krakoviak, Cindy Matute-Brown, Susan McCartney and Bill Rutherford.

Four candidates for town council also participated in the Sept. 28 forum: William Barbee, Ron Charles, Asmeret Ghebremicael and Susan Scarpa.
