WEST ORANGE, NJ — The old joke goes: “How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice.”

Apparently, the technique also works for Radio City Music Hall.

Last week, Kyan Bashkoff, a fifth-grade student at West Orange St. Cloud Elementary School, had the experience of a lifetime when he performed with 50 other young singers at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

West Orange school administrators shared news about Bashkoff’s appearance at the well-known venue:

“Kyan and the New Jersey Youth Chorus select choir group ‘Coro Vivo’ performed ‘Pat-a-Pan’ and ‘Come In’ before the annual Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. Coro Vivo is a select choir of boys with 'unchanged voices' in grades 4-8 from across the state. Earlier this fall, Coro Vivo sang the national anthem at Citi Field during Pete Alonso's record-breaking 53rd home run of the year. The group also appeared at the ‘Intermediate Youth Choir Festival’ held at Montclair State University's Cali School of Music.”
