West Orange 8th Grader Makes NYC Cabaret Debut (VIDEO)
West Orange 8th grader Sebastian Chaviano took to the same stage that's hosted stars such as Liza Minnelli, Paul Newman and Bette Midler.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — If you’ve ever found yourself under the spotlight and suffering from a case of stage fright, then you can appreciate the gumption that it took for West Orange 8th grader Sebastian Chaviano to grace the stage at the famous “Don’t Tell Mama” cabaret in Manhattan last month.
But true to his character as a performer, Chaviano powered through his appearance at the iconic establishment, which has hosted luminaries such as Liza Minnelli, Paul Newman, Bette Midler, Mario Cantone and Cuba Gooding Jr.
According to a news release, the Roosevelt Middle School student and local Boy Scout recently had a recent part in a production of Seussical Jr. and plays trombone, in addition to taking vocal, dance and acting lessons.
