West Orange African Heritage Organization Seeks Tutors For Students
The program has been a success in West Orange elementary schools, helping students with homework and other assignments.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange African Heritage Organization (WOAHO) is seeking tutors for their tutoring program at Redwood and Kelly Elementary Schools.
According to a news release, the long-time program has been a success in West Orange elementary schools, assisting students with homework and/or practice materials assigned by their teachers.
The program will run every Wednesday from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m. through May 2024, barring holidays or school closures. The ratio of tutor to student is one-to-one.

“If a tutor is absent, we ask that a tutor assist two students for the day,” organizers said. “First, second, and third grade students are part of the program.”
