West Orange BOE Asks For Input On School Superintendent Search

The West Orange Board of Education is in the process of selecting a new superintendent of schools. Here's how you can weigh in.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Board of Education is asking for public input as the district prepares to select a new superintendent of schools.

According to a news release, the board is soliciting feedback from local parents, staff and community members as it develops a “candidate profile” for the new superintendent. People can offer feedback via an online survey until May 2 at the district homepage or by clicking here.

According to district officials, the survey is confidential, and email/IP addresses will not be provided to the BOE or administration.

The consultant team working with the BOE on the search will also be available to answer questions and take input on the following dates:

  • For Staff/Faculty: Wednesday, May 1, West Orange High School auditorium, HS staff/faculty at 2:30 p.m., all other school staff/faculty at 3:40 p.m.
  • For Administrators: Wednesday, May 1, West Orange High School auditorium at 4:30 p.m.
  • For Parents/Community: Wednesday, May 1 at West Orange High School auditorium (7 p.m.); or Thursday, May 2 at Edison Middle School auditorium (7 p.m.)
