West Orange Building Cleaners Protesting ‘Unfair Labor Practices’
Workers in West Orange will protest at a local office building on Sept. 20.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — On Wednesday, Sept. 20, building cleaners in West Orange and Valhalla, NY, plan to join with members of local labor union 32BJ SEIU to protest alleged “unfair labor practices” at their work sites in New Jersey and New York.
According to 32BJ representatives, the workers are protesting against Planned Building Services (PBS), the cleaning company that PAG Investments hired when it took ownership of properties at 100 Executive Drive in West Orange and at 80 Grasslands Road in Valhalla.
