West Orange COVID Update: Fatality Rate, Nursing Home Deaths

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Authorities released the latest coronavirus death totals for West Orange and its nursing homes on Monday.
According to Essex County officials, the town of West Orange has seen 1,208 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 168 deaths linked to the disease, a 13.91 percent fatality rate.
According to the New Jersey Department of Health, there were 164,164 confirmed cases statewide with 12,176 deaths as of Sunday, a 7.42 percent fatality rate. Read More: NJ Coronavirus Updates (Here's What You Need To Know)

According to the New Jersey Department of Health, as of Friday, West Orange's nursing and retirement homes have seen 362 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among residents, with 111 deaths linked to the disease, a 30.66 percent fatality rate.
Statewide, there were 22,965 cases of the virus among LTC residents with 6,139 self-reported deaths linked to the disease, a 26.73 percent fatality rate.
West Orange's totals included:
- Daughters of Israel - 59 cases, 17 deaths
- Alaris Health at West Orange - 33 cases, 9 deaths
- The Cliffs at Eagles Rock - 39 cases, 13 deaths
- Green Hill Assisted Living - 14 cases, 2 deaths
- Brighton Gardens of West Orange - 23 cases, 9 deaths
- Brookdale Senior Living of West Orange - 49 cases, 13 deaths
- Complete Care at Summit Ridge - 57 cases, 20 deaths
- Stratford Manor Rehabilitation & Care Center - 61 cases, 18deaths
- House of the Holy Comforter Canterbury Village - 18cases, 6 deaths
- Arden Courts of West Orange - 9 cases, 4 deaths
