West Orange Families Displaced By Landslide Lawyer Up: Report
More than two dozen West Orange families were forced to leave their homes after a landslide. They're planning to sue, a report says.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — More than 30 West Orange families who were forced to leave their homes after a landslide hit their apartment building have hired lawyers and are preparing to launch a lawsuit, a report says.
A rockslide that took place at 275 Northfield Avenue during Hurricane Ida left 44 local families without a home. Although some of the displaced have since relocated, others are still trying to find new places to live after being ordered to evacuate by town officials.

More than two dozen former residents of the Ron Jolyn Apartments are claiming that a 2017 expansion project at Seton Hall Prep's Kelly Athletic Complex may have contributed to the landslide.

Now, those residents may be planning to sue. Last week, they sent letters to their landlord, the township and Seton Hall Preparatory School, advising them of potential litigation, NJ.com reported Sunday. Read the full article.
